I am working as a compliance officer for one of he buying house in india, while auditing the factories i had a doubt regarding the pecentage of the trained employees regarding the first aid and fire training and i also want to know wheather it is same for all the states or it differs? please reply me

Dear Mr. Kumar,
I have no idea whether it is governed by state law or not. To my knowledge, it is based on TOTAL SIZE OF THE SITE/FACTORY where, it is divided into ZONES. Each ZONE must contain minimum 2 employees trained in FIRE FIGHTING and 2 in FIRST AID. It is the responsibility of HSE department to conduct study and decide how many employees need to be trained.
Hope you had also checked the FIRE FIGHTING SYSTEM installed and EXTINGUISHERS placed at various points, not exceeding 10-15FEET between each point.
