Hi Munali, Generally the offer letter will be on letter head only hence the logo etc will be there on letter head. If it is electronic then there is no possibility. Regards - kamesh

Instead of sending an email directly or in pdf format it is always better to send a scanned copy which is duly typed on the letter head and signed by the competent authority, the same original can be given to the employee whenever approaches after obtaining an acknowledgement so that you can file it in his/her personal file.
These are all very important documents hence better to obtain the competent authority's signature, scan it forward or courier it.

Hi,
In my opinion it is not required to have logo on the offer letter if sent through email.
As we would be sending from our official email Id.
Always send the offer in PDF format.
We cant do any thing if the candidate does not joining but you should make sure after sending the offer to thate candidate that he has resigned from his current company.
As we generally mention the list of document to be submitted at the time of joining add a line stating that the accepted copy of the resignation letter would be required soon after the candidate resignes from his / her current organisation.
Ask for the accepted copy of the resignation to make sure that the candiate would join.
Even after all this candidate may not join but from HR point of view we have done our best.

yes, It is very essential to have the company Logo.
My company has decided to hire employees on contract basis of one year.I would like to have the format of bond for same where we can prevent the back outs and also restrict the new hires to be available on project as per their confirmations.
if any one has the format kindly post it

Like to my ideas which I use while I appoint any employee.

First why to waste hard copies and papers. send offer letter through email first then give hard copy once you are sure candidate is accepting the offer.

There is no hard and fast rule that logo should be there. Logo is just a symbol of your organization brand name. Letter head is important so prioritize letter head and company stamp. Without logo offer letter is valid too but without letter head and stamp documents are invalid.

Even PDF format is not essential , the reason is pdf format can be easily downloaded and then converted to word free of cost through online document converters. You can use basic word file with some read only format if you are concerned of editing.

I agree, generally professional way of doing is providing logo on the letter head.

When a candidate comes for interview I give them this options.

10 to 15% of first three months salary will be deducted as security deposit and will be returned only after specified period of time or at the time of full and final settlement. If they leave job with out notice period then that money will not be returned. Notice period is minimum 60 days and negotiable to 30 days. ( every one looks for growth but we cant risk our business)

candidates who hesitate to accept this terms we get more serious with them and starts doing back ground checking on them as these candidates only are future trouble creator.

Till now it has worked in my business so I keep on practicing it .
