Hi Mary,

Given below is a suggested training program for Executives and Middle-Level/First-Time Managers. The suggested session plan can be fine-tuned based on Training Needs Analysis (TNA).

1) Personal Effectiveness / Sales Effectiveness
2) Management Development Program (MDP)
3) Team Building Workshop
4) Presentation Skills

Dear Mary Philip,

Sales training is different from any other training. It has to be customized to your product or service. Merely nominating a few salespersons to some public workshops in isolation will not serve your purpose much. What you need to do is to create a customized sales process to sell your products/services. You need to embed all the necessary skills in the process itself. When they learn the process, they will learn the supporting skills automatically. The benefit of having your own process is that salespersons may come and go, but the process will remain with you, enriching further day by day, month by month, or year by year.

However, it may be noted that making a standardized sales process is no easy task. It requires a lot of effort and field visits along with the salespersons.

Secondly, what matters most is the ability of the salesperson to maintain records on how the sales call was handled. This record helps them handle their future calls effectively and is also part of the sales process.

I conduct training on "Effective Selling Skills." As part of the training, I help companies customize their sales process. If you wish, you can avail of my services. You may obtain approval from your management, and we can proceed thereafter.

Thanks,
