Please someone help me to understand this ESI procedure. My query is, what is the eligibility of an employee to get ESI benefit? If employee is in probation period or contract based is he/she entitled to get that benefit?

Yes. He is eligible for ESI irrespective fo contract or probation or temp. Salary limit is Rs.15000 PM Deduction from employee 2.25% and employer 4.25% and the employee is eligible from the date one
