Did you hand over the responsibilities/company assets/documents properly? Talk to your immediate boss and explain the ground realities for leaving without serving N.Period. May be on humanaterian grounds, your request considered for issuance of relieving letter. Bear in mind that N.Period is meant for smooth transition (the term applies including finding an alternative) and if we are not honouring the basic principles of N.Period clause, employer may refuse to issue the exit formalities.
