Was asked to serve the notice period of 1 month - clarified that i won't be able to serve but still termed absconding
Hi all i have resigned from an it company after working for a year followed the official process that is resigned from the company s portal resignation got accepted by hr. i had a word with hr and was asked to serve the notice period of 1 month. i clarified that i won t be able to serve the same instead requested them to not process my payment for the notice period but they didn t agree and sent an email to me informing me that they will be treating my case as absconding. i am not sure if this is absconding so kindly help me in clarifying if this is a case of absconding and if serving notice period is necessary as many of my colleagues too resigned without serving the notice period.
Absconding latter
Dear sir/ma am i was an employee in a company but due to salary reason i have resigned. i have worked for 5 months for that company but they gave me only one month salary. so one day i left that jobthey did not provide me any joining latter or any contract pepper. now they send me absconding latter and they have mentioned compensation over there i don t know what should i do. please suggest me. reply

Hi all even i have query can anyone help my friend had joined a company on 14 sept and 16 sept she resigned bcoz her father in law was admitted in the hospital bcoz of a major issue and he stays far of from the place of work. the company did not accept her resignation and told that she will be reported as absconding. the next day she went again to discuss the matter n explain them to accept the resignation. bt they did nt agree thinking that she is joining some where else inspite of showing the tickets. after all this she again tried to contact her reporting manager after a week that she will return by 1 st or 2nd of oct and want to join back they asked her to cum n meet in personal. she came back n meet him on 3rd oct. bt they did nt agree for her to join back and now they are saying she will be treated as absconding and legal will be issued bt they did not let her work also and not accepting the letter also because she resigned in two days ...inspite of notice period being 1 month can u suggest wat she can do in this scenario. n will she b treated as absconding. inspite of visiting the office on two instances after resignation should she put all the details on the same mail on which she marked her resignation. or sit silently as she wont count on this company in her profile
Policy suggestions to deal with absconding employees - the right practice?
I have been given a task to prepare a new absconding process for our company. the company where i work is very salesdriven. often agents take their salary and then go absconding. as such now we have this absconding policy whereby we get an absconding agents list from the sales manager. then we call those agents and if they don t answer the call we send them a show if they do send a reply saying they cannot join us for reasons mentioned by them or if they don t reply we treat them as absconding employees. thereafter we deactivate their official id. so kindly help me with the new absconding process because according to the new head this is not the right practice.

Absconding employee
We have a little issue with one of our employees. he joined us about 23 months back. he resigned about a week ago and then went on leave for a week citing some personal problem. he was to join back today and complete his notice period of 45 days as per his appointment letter. however he has not showed up and is absconding. this is a very typical scenario in the software industry where the employee just abscond leaving projects unfinished and without fulfilling the relieving formalities. i would like to know if there is any legal action that we can take against such people so that it also serves as a deterrent to other employees doing the same. please let me know at the earliest.
