Well we already have numbers of discussion here on the same topic, and if one will try to find out the answer, will certainly get the same

But Yashoda I would like to say thanks that you remind me this again. It is a really good question and thanks for raising this…

First I wanna say something more about EPF deduction that EPF is one of the safest debt instruments we have. Safety of principal and interest earned is very much there. Besides bring discipline in investing, it serves well to accumulate a corpus for retirement, therefore, no one need to think about discontinuing of EPF deduction.

Two things I wanna say: first, it is totally depend on company policies. If employer has a policy to not to make any deduction for their employees, can do so but have to inform the same to the EPF office by Declaration, MOA and other statutory requirements by EPF office.

Second, yes the contributions can be restricted upto salary of Rs.6500.00 per month (Limit which is currently applicable).

It can be stopped for an employee if has never come under this EPF deduction in his/her service life, with prior declaration by employee and employer to EPF office.

Dear Anil,
I have a question that if one of Employee's salary is under PF Deduction limit & employer deduct PF from his salary. Now his salary is increased than PF deduction limit. Then can he stop to deduct PF from his salary?

Dear Vineet, guess you haven't read my above replies to others properly bcz I already have answered the same..but its ok..
Well dear It is not possible to discontinue the deduction of EPF if it has been deducted once, according to the rule of EPF deduction, no matter you will get hike in your salary of Rs 1000/- (6500 +1000) or more. One should not have any single deduction in his/her salary if wanna stop EPF deduction if applicable.

hi rajan, cant stop the contribution in mid if the employee want to stop the same he must have to quit the same. sumit
Hi, I think, apart from employer contribution towards PF, Government of India will contribute 1.67% towards EPS? is it correct? if so, please post the circular.
Hi! Mr. Agarwal,
Thanks for such a intelligent reply me back.
I want to know the differnce between EPf form no. 3A and 6 A?
Secondly, What is the use of form no. 12 A ?
Thirdly, What is the difference between Form no, 10 C and 10D?
and one main question why these forms are not in sequence like Form no1, form 2,, form no.3.. why they are in a disorder way.
When we join somewhere and opened a new account first time,we fill the form no. 5, and nominee form no.2, for resign form no. 10.
Why they are not in a order way. new joinee, nomiee, resignation, transfer.
Please suggest me with your valueable answer.
with regards and waiting for your reply.

no there is no government contribution on epf.in the time of claim on epf only government will some percentage of interest on epf
Dear all,

At this point of discussion we need to get more clarity on EPS (Employee Pension Scheme). What are all implied hidden facts need to be clarified too. There are many questions raised by an ordinary employee which can be put forwarded and discussed.

Question 1 : If an employee not completing atleast 6 months in his service whether he entitled for the amount which goes to pension fund ?

2. Normally employees contributions for EPF - 12% and employer contribution for EPF - 3.67% and EPS - 8.33 %. When person withdrawing his amount he is not getting the same amount which has been contributed from the employer side i.e. EPS - 8.33% + EPF - 3.67% is not matching with the employees contribution. Why its happening.

3. Employee is eligible for pension only after 10 years. Before that if he is withdrawing his amount then what is the procedure for calculation ?

4. Normally before 10 years if any employee is withdrawing his PF amount, he is getting it in two cheques. i.e EPF anf EPS. If we cross varify the employees For 3 A entire amount maynot be reflecting.

We would like to have clarity on these kind of questions.

Can we take it up.

Yours Sincerely,

Praveen K. Shetty
