The Work-Related Quality of Life Scale: Now freely available for use with individuals and in organisations
Darren Van Laar and Simon Easton are two Portsmouth University based researchers with an interest in helping people better understand what makes work feel good so that people work well. They have been involved in running staff surveys of large and small organisations for over 10 years, and have now published a new measure of quality of working life, the Work Related Quality of Life scale (Easton & Van Laar, 2013).
The measure and its manual have now been made freely available, courtesy of the University of Portsmouth. The WRQoL manual provides a detailed description of the theoretical background to the scale. The user manual also includes a detailed explanation of its scoring, reliability and validity, as well as offering the relevant normative data.
The WRQoL has been used for large scale staff surveys, but now the manual includes an individual version of the WRQoL
