Ours is a manufacturing unit in TN with 32 members including management staff and workers and is just 2 yrs old.My question is :
1. Do we need to get registered with labour department (have registered with Inspector of Factories).
2. We now intend to lay-off and understand that under Industrial Dispute act, under sec25A any industrial establishment with less than 50 workers need not pay lay-off compensation. Is the understanding correct.?
3. Can we directy lay-off or do we need to inform any government agency regarding this and what is the procedure.
