Hello all..
Well i have some confusion which I want to clear.
1. If a person joins a PSU, say SAIL or Coal India, can he leave the company after 7-8 years, I mean will there be any problem in leaving the company...?
2. Can such a person join any private company, I am asking this because I came to know that Govt employees are not preferred in private organisations, is it True...?

Hello Harisjmi,
1. You can leave the PSU whenever you want after you complete the company bond. Say, you have signed a bond of 4 years with the PSU, in this case you can leave the company after completing 4 years. If you will leave the company before that, you will entitled to pay the agreed amount while breaking the bond.
2. You can join any Private company till they see caliber and potential in you. Private companies do not (normally) adopt any stereotyped approach in selecting a deserving candidate basing their decision on the candidate being form PSU. Personally, I have many friends and relatives who have got excellent offers from Private companies while working with PSUs.
Hope this helps. Let me know if you have any question.

PSU employees are at liberty to leave at any point of time provided any written agreements are in place.
There is an inhibition to select the PSU employees in Pvt sectors due to their style of functioning and corrupt (not applicable to all) but technocrats are considered in pvt sectors. In my co. many past PSU employees are appointed.
