My husband has more than 7 years of experience in Mechanical Field (Design & Production). He is doing SAP MM course now.
Will he get a job in SAP as a fresher or his experience will be counted? How about the salary (Fresher Salary)?

Dear Navida,

I hope this reply might have over delayed and by this time many things might have changed, But im still replying which will be useful for other persons who can get the response on the same aspects.

I understand fully your problem, Since your husband into production filed he might have chosen the PP Module which is very less competition and more demand in the present market and same time requirement also will be less only for SAP PP. But campare to MM its good in market atpresent stage.

SAP MM also good module with normal competition campare to SD module.

Will he get a job in SAP as a fresher or his experience will be counted?

Nowaday's SAP market is bit more competitive so without having Certification in SAP MM...Its very tough to get into job and same time if your husband have good contacts or friends circle in SAP Market would be quick in process for job.

Of course his experience will be counted when he joins in SAP MM in terms of his domain knowledge what he gains in 7 years of Production Industry... Now also Certain top MNC's are counting the Domain experience in terms to give a better salary and for designations.

How about the salary (Fresher Salary)?

This is very good question and all SAP Freshers with Industry Domain experience should know about this....

As i told already, Certain Top MNC's maintain the salary structure based on the domain experience..But many companies who are hiring the sap fresher with domain experience are considering the fresher fixed salary irrespective of 7 or 8 years of domain expeirence which will be nearly about 2 lakhs/annum or some times less than that also... But in same time need to tell you, Once the candidate crossed the 2 to 3 years of SAP Experience... then he can negotiate for better salary. So for atleast 2 years need to struggle with low salary...

Hope i have clarified in a better way to your all doubts..

All the Best SAP Freshers !!!!

Rgds
