Hi, How many leaves we can carry forward to next year. In my company there is no rule for leave carry forward or leave encashment. Kindly guide me about this. My id is bandanapandey.hr@gmail.com
Hi Pandey,
Per year Max 15 EL's will be calculated. Generally EL's are calculated on the basis of per every 20 working days 1 EL is availed. EL's are carried forwarded & leave enchasement system is as per their company policy. Few companies does not prefer leave enchasement.

Accumulated EL limit varies from company to company. But as per some Acts, the limit is 30 days. EL calculation also vary, in my company the annual EL/PL is 30 days and the accumulation limit is upto 300 days. In software companies, the EL/PL per annum is 15 days as they have 5 days of working in a week. It all depends on the policies of the companies. As per rule book, it is 1/20 as said by Vinay.

Dear Bandana,
In the point of company they should enrage encashment then and there, preferably once in a year. Because this could reduce the burden of the liabilities on encashment for the company.
In employee point of view, accumulation of EL is wise thing and they can withdraw a lumsum amount as a part of their terminal benefits with some tax exemptions and that too with their current salary.
coming to the legal part on accumulation, as Mr.Ponraj pointed out it is 30 days in factories act.
But every thing depends upon the company's leave policy.
