Employee issue exgratia amount
Dear all i am working in executive catogory at middle management level. in my previous company the exgratia amount were disbursed when i contacted them about my bonus or exgratia amount they told me that the exgratia amount is only payble to employees who are present on muster of company and therefore i am not eligibly for the said amount.. can anyone suggest any way to get the bonus/exgratia amount.. rahul.

The act 1965 we are paying more than 20 bonus/exgratia to the permanent workers. we have more than 1200 contract workers working continuously on various jobs. the unions are demanding the management to pay more than the 20 bonus i.e. more than rs. 8400/ to the contract workers. my question is what is the responsibility of the principle employer regarding the payment of bonus to the workers working under a contractor? kindly any one clarify my doubt in detail. giri
