Hi there,
The difference between Human Resources Policy and employee hand book is very small. Employee handbook is a “snap shot” of the HR Policy less Salary Structure, Performance appraisal matrix, Details of employees financial benefits. Otherwise it has to contain everything an employee needs to know such as
· Attendance Policy
· Dress Code
· Leave Policy (All Types of Leaves, Public Holidays for all types of religions)
· Travel Policy
· Promotions Entitlement Clauses
· Basic Benefits provided to all employees
· Code of Ethics
· Educational Policy
· Pension fund Policies
· Forms used in the organization by employees to process different requests
· Misconduct Policy
Any Policy which will not cause conflicts between grades should be made known by employees.

Dear Parimal564,
HR policy will form a part of Employee handbook. the employee handbook consists of all information that a new joinee needs to get to know about the company including HR policilies (recruitment process, performance appraisal process, leave policy, benefits, code of conduct, dress code etc.). The other information like may be a small note of the HODs of all departments, current clients and customers of the company, history of the company etc, are also a part of employee handbook, but they don't come under HR policy.
But the employee handbook consusts majorly od HR policies itself (around 90%).
Thanks
