I'm Newly joined HR personnel for Software/web development firm. I want to update HR POlicies of my firm. We have 6 days working with long working hours. We Have only 10 Public holidays. There is no fixed Bonus/appraisal process. Can Any one guide me for the same.

Hi All,
For a 6 days working days in a PVT, the working hours will be 8 1/2 hours including lunch time. Kindly see to it that 4 hours is there in the first half and the second half is having equal number of hours as morning (i.e. 4 hours again).
The minimum public holidays should be 15 days. It is compulsory as per the act. You need to display the work hours timings and public holiday list in the PIN BOARD in the front office. Added to it even the Minimum wages Act should be mentioned.
Have a quarterly performance and rate their work efficiency. Ensure employees are treated as per the performance.
Include time attendance system which is the basic requirement for an employee to complete the work on time. This will ensure his principle.

Dear men,
For a small Pvt ltd company make the HR Policies simple. Because the rules should be simplified to the staff/employee number.
It is advisible to implement the below policies:
1.Time Policy
2.Leave policy & Procedure
3.permission policy
4.Incentive policy
5.Welfare policy.
So implement the policies and make a run over. You can really find better results.
