Hi All,d
I am recently appointedr as assistant manager HR in a company with a strength of around 800 employees. And i am asked to design and develop HR policies for them as they dont have any...Guys I need your help.Please Help Me.

First of all prepare a list of policies needs to be formulated and sort them on the basis of priority and then post one by one what policies you are looking may be we at cite HR can help you out of that. I have been involved in formulating some of the policies in my previous organization.\

For recruitment and selection policies there are many things to be kept in mind and you must be prepared for various documentation.
to start with you can create an interview assessment form on which you can mention the characteristics of the candidate. once a candidate joins try to capture as much information as you can about the candidate i will share you an form i hope that will help you in capturing data.
be prepared with offer letter and appointment letter. decide the probation period to be given to employee, and verify the documents with whatever source you can.
all this aspects will help you to recruit true assets for the organization which is the foremost responsibility of being a good hr manager.

First, make a list of all the HR policies you can think about in your company. the basic ones are :
Recruitment and selection
New JOinee Induction
Performance Evaluation
Leave POlicy
Employee Retainment policy
exit Formalities
The above listed are the basic HR policies and ofcourse you can elaborate and create different forms and templates for each of them in detail.

HR Policy formulation, in my opinion, is not child's play. Copy from website and paste in your company's website.
It requires thorough study of your orgnisation's vision and mission statements, current practices, how your management wants to take it further, the monetary impact on the company's budget. Every HR policy will have implication on the employee, their morale, their performance, monetary impact and a host of other things. These need to be discussed with top management or decision makers to take their concurrence and then go ahead and make presentations to them take their view, and amend the policies.
