I have read your reply, where in you have cleared that PHD is possible in HR itself, but I have few doubts in my mind.
1) I have done MBA in Mrktg( major) & HR( minor) in the year 2009, since then
I am pursuing my career in HR, & now I want to do PHD in HR itself. Now
my confusion is that should I do my specialization once again or it wont
effect my further education..?
2) Another confusion is that, I want to do Phd from Punjab itself, but I am
not able to finalize the University, as I want to do it with a purpose that
my education should put some weight age to my career. Let me please
know from which University can I do the same & what will be the criteria.?

Second, the question about specialization, yes it is really important and generally the student who acquired specialised degree in any field, go for Phd bcz it requires great and a strong base of knowledge of a field, skills and understanding of a subject. And as you are specialised (Major) with Marketing and HR (Minor), you acquire a lot to do if you really wanna go for PhD in HRM.
You can start your Phd while pursuing crash/short terms course in HRM which will enhance your knowledge, skills and understanding of HR and their elements and fullfil the required knowledge to go for it but need not to go for full terms specialization course as you already have done your Masters.
According to your current status, it is totally depend on your learning skills and hard work and determination.
PhD (Ph.D.) stands for Doctor of Philosophy and it is an advanced degree requiring usually three to eight years of depending on the field, research topic, and the student's skills. Most PhD degrees require the completion of coursework, comprehensive exams, and a dissertation. PhD work in any field is quite challenging and as I said above it requires great knowledge, understanding, hard work and the most important thing which comes first in it, DERTERMINATION to do something because it is a completely research.
You just need to start and will be guided by University Panal and the under guidline to do Phd with complete details, where to go, how to go and everything..
Also you can get help of your friends, seniors, and colleagues and from this place as there are number of Students available who are doing their PhD in HRM

I have gone through all of your replies. Thanks for helping with your indepth knowledge in the domain.
I have done my MBA in Material management and BTech in Chemical Engg. I am also thinking for PhD to enhance my knowledge in Material management field. I need clarification on following point and currently working with one MNC in Material Management.
1. After PhD in Management which career avenues you think one should focus?
2. Will the research work is useful in corporate life or one should go for academics?

Well Mr Jagan, I am really keen to know why you want to go for Phd or what actually made you feel to change your career path?
And hope you know that by choosing HRM, your present experience, knowledge and IT skills won't benefit you anyhow but certainly can bother you in your concentration, Motivation in regard to your future/career life. Your long precious 7 years of experience after relevant education reached you here and have made you what you are today. And I believe your present career line can give you more better career opportunities, therefore, you must think agan about your career line and decisions.
For Phd, one of the among and best skills what PhD aspirants/students required is a strong educational and knowledge background /base which comes with a long term study and related experience of a subject and if you don't have these things, I believe you can imagine how it is gonna difficult for you.
"Strong interest" is the second most important element required for research study, therefore, it is really important for you to know about you, and why you wanted to go with Phd (HRM) and leave your present career line
Lastly I'd request you to go through the Phd forum for the related discussions to know more about it and required skills and think about your decision/options.
