Dear Chaitu
I am enclosing the IT Act 2000 for your reference.
(1) We can maintain all the statutory records in softcopy with the prior approval from appropriate authority (Factories - Director or Factories Office; Construction - Labour Commissioner Office; Mines - District Mines Office; etc).
(2) We can maintain the employees attendance through bio-metric attendance/access system so that non other than authorised worker will get access to the work premises and with that access exact timing of the workers and their wages can be prepared without much difficulty.
(3) The effect gate control system on workers of factory and Construction industries can be maintained.
These are some of the benefits of IT in IR Field. Further let us expect the feedback from other members.

Where it is written in the IT Act 2000 that the attendance records required to be maintained under the labour laws, can be maintained through access control system.
