Bowing to pressure from Left- backed trade unions, the Employees Provident Fund Board agreed to continue paying 8.5 per cent interest rate to its nearly four crore subscribers for fiscal 2006-07 as well.
Does the rise in the increase in EPF to 8.5% have a major benefit element in the real sense? Would it impact a Companys Compensation budget ?

The financial burden regarding interest on P.F accumulation is beared by E.P.F.O. Hence no companys compensation budget will be affected. R.K.P
