Is it required to do a revision in salary structure of an employee during his confirmation.

Dear Geekay,
It is not mandatory to revise the salary during confirmation - if you have not mention this in your HR policy - you can drag on it up to next normal salary appraisal , say in the month of April.
But normally a small hike in the salary at the time of confirmation will motivate the employee.

It is not mandatory and solely decretion of the management.
But, once the probation period is over, you need to confirm his/her services or to extend the probation period in writing.
