Please let me know what is the minimum basic salary according to the law? Can HRA be equal to Basic? What is the minimum gross salary for all the Indian states according to the law? In case of any violation of minimum wages, what needs to be done? Kindly let me know all these things.

Minimum wages will differ by region and according to the work carried out and types of manufacturing. So, you can browse the minimum wages PDF on the internet and use it.

Basic and HRA cannot be equal, as Basic is the minimum guarantee of the monthly remuneration, while HRA stands for House Rent Allowance. In India, most companies do not have the HRA component in their salary structure.

In case of any violation of minimum wages, you will be questioned by the Inspector of Factories. If you do not rectify the issue promptly, you may face penalties.
