I will be very happy if i engaged all the time with my work but its not so. Only in the month end i will be busy & i love those days. I also try to engage myself by surfing in net but one week it will work, again next week i ll sit ideal.

Hi Bharathi,
Try to do some Employee engagement activities & Soft skill presentation to your employees.
Do some Job Satisfaction survey's to your employees, by which you will get very good output on company.
Do some necessary or better changes in the available policies/facilities/benefits.

Dear Bharathi

Take out your company's HR Policy Manual. Read word by word all the subject. Do observe the faults, which required to be corrected; Do observe revision, which required to be modified; Do observe redundant, which required to be deleted; Do observe the omitted contents, which required to be added; while planning to do revision of HR Manual.

Think without any tension, in which way you can do innovative ideas to work for your company. but before implementing any new ideas, take prior approval from your concerned director, or MD/GM whoever placed above you in the organisational chart.

Plan for CSR (Corporate Social Responsibility) programme for nearby village or school, etc, where you can implement in less cost and your company will also get familiarise in that locality.

Plan for some family get to gether or outings with all the employees involvement with prior approval from your management with fun filled games for full day once in every six month.

You can even organise the founder's day of your office and celebrate it on the day with complete family of all staff.

Never give up your tries. Make one resolution that no one can hurt you without your permission.

Cheer up Bharathi. We are born to win and we will.

Hello Bharathi,

Bhaskar has given good suggestions.

And going by what you mentioned--".......sent back to my MD but he scold me like why u didn't ask to me....", I think you did one mistake in your eagerness to get busy. You forgot to look @ whatever you are doing 'from the organizational point of view'.

Whenever you do anything new & wish to implement it AFTER informing your boss, you would obviously have to give the details of what you want to do to him. During such an exercise, also REMEMBER to do your homework on HOW IT EFFECTS THE COMPANY. If what you implement leads to saving some money to the company in the long run, all the better, since most company heads understand only the language of money [nothing wrong in that per se, since THEY invested in it]. So in all your justifications, try to link some of them to the money saved to the company--and you can take IT FOR GRANTED THAT your Proposal WILL BE APPROVED.

Looking at your situation from another angle, you have a very good chance of learning without any pressure whatsoever--something not many HR people get. Make the best use of it--to do justice to your job as well as grow professionally.

All the Best.
