Hi,
You asked about salary slip, the salary slip shows the actual salary of the employee in all break-ups, number of working days, net take home, all deductions in terms of provident fund, esi, group gratuity scheme, medic-laim, loans, advance, leaves etc.

There is no Govt. law governing payslips. This is the prerogative of the employer. Umesh has answered its contents, generally.
In simple terms, payable days in a month, payable (component-wise) and deductibles are mentioned sequentially on the slip. Details of employee's name, department, section, employee ID/code, joining date, PF/ESI nos. etc are indicated in it.

hi
There is no such gov. law for payslip but the only important thing is salary break up which includes Basic/HRA/DA/Other allowances/Medical reimbursement /conveyence. for confirming exempt limits pls go through the income tax act for current year.

Hi,
Hope you can keep the basic at the lower part (6,500 per month)so as to avoid employee into deductions part & as well you can add Special allowance / Medical reimbursments / Conveyance etc. To save the tax of the company, you have to show the pay structure into other than basic pay.
