Dear Yohan,
A group medi-claim policy subscribed by the company is equally beneficial to the employees and employers.
Employers bears the cost of the premium on the employees and medical benefits are enjoyed by the employees in the form of Cashless Treatments / Medical Expenses Reimbursements (as per the terms & condition of the policy availed)
Employees benefits by not spending on the hospitalized expenses
The entire process is coordinated by the employer through a third party agent (TPA) who is responsible for issue of ID Cards, authorization of treatment and claim of reimbursements.
Employer benefits by securing the Medical needs of its employees.
hope the info is clear !!

For employers: It allows them to benchmark their benefits as per industry standards and also takes away the financial risk to employees in case of hospitalization. Quite often you would also see long time employees coming to management of expecting the company to help them out in such cases. Its a good attraction and retention tool in SME's.
For the Employee: It help giving a reassurance that they have a cover in case something were to happen to them / their family which leads to heavy expenses in a hospital.
Do let me know if you need any further information

It is a part of CSR. If the premia is borne by the employer, employees will be happy. Nowdays, many corporates/companies are covering their employees under medical insurance. Pon
