Hi all i am working for an mnc which has decided to recruit 70 temporary staff for six months to complete a project. until now we have hired employees on permanent basis only. is there any procedure/ formalities that has to be completed before taking employees on a temporary basis ? should they be covered in the contract labour act though we are recruiting them directly without a contractor in between ? should we maintain separate registers for them ?

Dear all one of our employees has died in a major accident while going to his site in an auto riksha which provided by the office. in this case we have a workmen compensation policy & nagarik suraksha policy. we have already intimate both insurance agents through the official mail id. our policy agent doesn t know the procedure about the claim of workmen compensation. is there any court procedure? who is responsible for filing the case and to whom? also what is the procedure of f&f in the case of death? the employer already paid all the expenses includes post morten fir ambulance other medical expenses.

Dear members in id act section 25a of chapter va is applicability of sections 25c to 25e. which talks about layoff and also it tells that sec 25a is applicable to industrial establishment employing less than 50 workmen. in a nutshell sec 25a tells the procedure of lay off to be followed by an industrial establishment employing less than 50 workmen. chapter vb is applicable to industrial establishments in which more than 100 workmen are employed. now my question is what procedure is to be followed during lay off by an industrial establishment employing more than 50 and less than 100 workmen. pls clarify. thanks.
