Hi.I am part owner of a Vacation Club and looking to market it via telesales.. Anyone doing this? Great product, great commissions. I had an inquiry from a call center to add this to perks, and giveaways that they are already calling about and thought there may be interest here with other centers. Any suggestions? Can this be sold successfully over the phone?

Tele-sales is old hat. One very prominent club whose presence is across India had once employed 450+ tele-callers in Bangalore alone. Every telecaller gave about whopping 300 calls everyday. The target was to get one account everyday. Therefore, the club membership grew by average 350 members per day. This I am writing about Bangalore. I don't know about other cities.

Tele-calling is old hat now and people of weary of pesky calls. Secondly, business model based on tele-calling was ok about decade ago but not any longer. Please check TRAI rules on giving unsolicited calls as in the last 7-8 months I did not get a single call from that club.

Secondly, getting quality manpower would be yet another challenge. The club that I mentioned ended up getting low IQ and rejected candidates from BPO sector. The manpower attrition was very high and everyday they use to recruit around 5-6 telecallers as almost same number were exiting too. About 80% of the telecallers stayed with company for just 4-5 months.

Anyway, I have shared my market information. You may have some innovative approach of tying up directly with corporates. Corporate membership is always better than individual membership.
