I am new user for this program. Can anyone tell or advise me how and what I should do to stop workers from throwing the cigarette puffs in front of our guard house which is out of company compound. For info, the company that I’m working with is dealing with a lot of chemicals that prohibit all the workers smoking in company compound. 90 percent of the workers are smoker. And also we do not enough space to build up smoking zone in factory compound.
THANKS.

You must have a 3 pronged strategy - a short term one, a medium term one and a long term curative one
1. To get workers to be more disciplined
- put a few dustbins and large boards around the guard house that cigarette butts to be thrashed
- get the leaders who go for a smoke to set the discipline
2. To alert them to the dangers of fire in the work place
- put hazard caution boards around the factory
- put boards stating the steps for crisis control in case of fire
3. To make workers aware of the evils of smoking
- put up write up and statistics about smoking related problems on notice boards
- maybe share a public service documentary on evils of smoking
- organise a talk by a doctor on strategy to combat the urge to smoke

Dear Norlizaa,
Yes, Barnbarn has suggested some valuable points you can implement them one by one.
For immediate remedy, you can place a Dustbin with sand near the guards gate at least to keep that area clean.
Month cancer is the most alarming concern for smokers. Note they are not only spoil their health but also the health of the bystanders.
I hope you can get posters from Govt health dept.
