Dear Ram,

Please find below Leave Policy According to Shop of Establishment act:

Since it has been observed that leave policy is not being clear to many people in the organization and henceforth this notice is a final recommendation for procedure and policies of leave.

1. An employee is eligible to take 30 leaves in a calendar year comprising of 15 Earned Leaves (EL), 7 Sick Leaves (SL), 8 Casual Leaves (CL).

2. Leave calendar starts from 1st Jan 2010 and ends on 31st Dec 2010 for 30 leaves.

3. Every month employee accumulates 2.5 Leaves to his leave credit balance which employee can utilize on prior approval or in case of sickness.

4. Approval of Leaves:

a) Leaves will be initially approved by immediate reporting head followed by HR.

b) Leaves will approve only on properly filled leave application forms.

c) Leaves will approve only when the HR Department receives the Leave Application Form either 7 Days before taking it for pre planned or in case of emergency 2 days after joining back on duty.

5. Documentation required:

i) SICK LEAVES (SL)

a) Leave Application Form ( Duly signed by reporting HEAD)

b) Medical Certificate from MBBS doctor

c) Certificate of Fitness from MBBS doctor.

ii) EARNED LEAVES (EL)

a) Leave Application Form ( Duly signed by reporting HEAD)

b) Incase of out station leaves address of the visiting place and contact number (necessarily)

iii) CASUAL LEAVES

a) Leave Application Form ( Duly signed by reporting HEAD)

6. Complimentary leaves :

a) An employee is eligible to take complimentary leave on prior approval from the reporting head if in case the employee worked on the HOLIDAY declared by the management for the company.

b) Complimentary leaves can be utilized on prior approval anytime during the year if there is a balance.

c) Complimentary leaves will not be carrying forward for more than one calendar year.

d) Complimentary leaves will not be monetarily compensated in case of non utilization within the calendar year.

7. Weekly off :

a) An employee is eligible to take one day off from duty after working for 6 days.

b) Minimum of 4 Weekly off from duty a person is eligible for.

c) In case due to work constraint a person missed out on weekly off from duty for one week then the same should be given or taken by the employee on prior approval of the manager.

d) Weekly off from the duty will not be carrying forward for more than a month. It will be lapsed and will not be monetarily compensated after completion of month.

e) Employees are not eligible to take more than two weekly off from duty at a time.
