I have been given a task to prepare Employee handbook. Which will have a complete process of Employee Travelling to US for work. Ours is a software firm.
Is there any checklist already available with any of you that would help.

- Administrative process details: Where the travel process start, every steps to be completed before, during and after the travel, point of contact and any escalation matrix if applicable.
- Legal details: Please clearly state the legal guidelines and ensure that the employee understands every bit of it. Include the name of the legal consultant to the company, along with their contacts for further consultation if required.
- Client and Business related information: Provide the do and dont's along with the minimum standards to be maintained. Include the employees and business leaders who have traveled to those locations to speak during the orientation process.
- Financial details: This includes the compensation which the employee would be eligible for and the process for reimbursement. The employee needs to understand clearly if the company would provide him any insurance, family travel option and how the PF would work. The per diem information and the Forex policies requires to be clearly mentioned. Incase the company issues any credit card to them , please include the clauses which are susceptible to SOXA.
- Contact details : This needs to be made live. The employee requires to have the list of all the contacts they might require during the travel. If there is just one team or one individual for each location , please mention with the name and designation.
