Currently am working has a safety officer in private MNC. After i have joined the company i have included

1. work permit system

2. fire extinguishers

3. hydrant systems

4. PP E's

5.Emergency mock drill.

6. emergency exit.

7. First aid training.

8. medical check up for workers.

9. ERP

10. safety manual.

11. vehicle policy.

12. fire fighting training for securities and emergency team,

13. Accident report and investigation.

14. Near miss reports.

15. unsafe & unsafe conditions.

16. Health safety.

17.general safety awareness training programmes for cont labours once in a month.

18. risk analysis.

19. Implementing of new ideas.

20. safety day celebration.

21. waste management



In one shift there wil be 500 workers are in the operation, so give me some suggestion wat are the important topics i have to include in this industry via safety, 80% of the workers in the conmpany are above 40 so while giving the suggestion kindly keep in mind, expecting your valuable advice and suggestions.

plz add to make a safety Policy or EQHS policy and also make Safety Commeetee which will conduct meetings. SOPs & work Instructions & MSDS can b added too.

Dear Sreehari,
Do you have Safety Stewards (Safety Marshals) in your workplace? Make the use of them effectively. First you give inputs to them and tell them to explain in the tool box talk meetings daily.
First you concentrate on your HSE policy of your company and its Objectives and Targets.
Take tool box talk meetings and explain the workers about the above.
Implement safety award/reward functions every month and distribute prizes to those workers who working safely.
I will add few more points in future i am running short of time now.
