Duriyodhana's weakness was Arjuna. Somehow he is not able to stand Arjuna. He wants Arjuna to suffer a lot.

Karna's weakness was his friendship with duriyodhana. Everyone were telling duriyodhna that you are actions is not good and duriyodhana dint listen to anyone. Probably if karna has said to duriyodhana that you are actions is not good, Duriyodhana might have listened and shared the kingdom with pandavas.

Yudhistra even though walks the path of dharma he had his weakness. We call him as dharma, had his weakness in the game of dies. If Dharma alias yudhistra has said no to the game of gambling there will be no Mahabharatha.

Dhirtharastra had the love for his son and that was his weakness. He does not want his son to be unhappy even though the LORD was against him. He does not want his son to shed tears.

In all the above examples of characterisation of Veda Vyasa there conveys one single message:

"Even if you have immense strengths, you need to know or plan on how to manage with your weakness,".

Hello kumar.ramanujam,
A nice BROADER way of looking @ things & situations.
But you have missed out one small, BUT CRUCIAL, message that COMES BEFORE the one you mentioned.
It's this: "Even if you have immense strengths, YOU STILL WILL HAVE AT LEAST ONE WEAKNESS".
The message you mentioned will obviously follow this.
If you notice the whole lot of leaders/politicians/netas that we see currently, the way their followers/chelas behave is a great giveaway of the 'bloated egos' of the leaders they follow. For the followers, his/her neta CAN DO NO WRONG. It HAS TO BE all accolades & accolades all the way--one hint of criticism from any one--that's it: the guy had it. Wonder when will we learn--even after seeing so many fall due to their egos & weaknesses on the wide canvass of history....

Dear Mr. Kumar.Ramanujam,
Nice message you have conveyed. Thanks for sharing. As said by Mr. Sateesh, Everyone in this world will have atleast one weakness. That Weakness will become his enemy and becomes the cause of the end of dynasty or life whatever it may be.
Thanks for sharing such wonderful message Mr. Kumar.Ramanujam

Nice piece of advice with nice analogy to the Bhagvad Gita. Indeed the Bhagvad Gita contains all answers that any human being can possibly have during one lifetime. The Bhagvad Gita is also the first book treating psychology. Without having any religious connotation, I would personally advise to whoever has the time, to at least once, go through the Gita. Very nice book and very inspirational.
