Dear Seniors,
I was working in a Pharma company as executive secretary from last 2 years and i got promoted as executive HR & Admin 6 months back ( as i completed my PGDHRM) I am handling HR dept. as well as secretarial independently as we have very less number of employees (15nos & we don't have any HR Manager).
Now we want to recruit BDM (all over India) for our company and we took a Job portal subscription for the same. I have database of Candidates, every day I am forwarding mass mail, and and i am calling up and talking to the candidates as well, but the kind of response what we expected is not happening. As i don't have any experience in recruitment, i need help from u seniors. Please suggest me a plan to utilize the data base and extract and attract as many candidates as possible.

Dear Ms. Jayashree,

This is a problem which many of the HR executives face in the initial stages, when they source profiles through job portals.

First and foremost, you should be well aware of the search techniques in Job Portals, which type of search helps what kind of profiles or favours what kind of skill sets. Spend time understanding the search modes and use it effectively

Some other keys which will come handy when u search :

1. Keywords : Be specific with the exact keywords that you need.
2. Roles : matching roles to be indicated
3. Active Profiles : Look for resumes which are active for last 15 days.

This will give you enough mileage to source the best resumes

Once you filter those, speak to them , send them a mail initially and try building a relation. Tell about your company, what the job involves and the positive offers.

If they are convinced , request for a meet up and schedule the interviews.

There are lot of other recruitment methods, which are very wide and exuberant. Do let us know if u need further info.
