Dear All, I have completed my MBA in HR and am currently working as an HR Executive. I would like detailed information about a Ph.D. in HR. I have heard that there is an entrance exam for a Ph.D. program. What will be the syllabus for that?
I have completed my graduation and post-graduation from Pune University. Can I take the entrance exam from Pune University, or do I have to apply to another university?
Kindly guide me.
Thank you.

For any direct Ph.D. (without M.Phil), an entrance examination is compulsory. The Ph.D. program can be done on a Full-Time or Part-Time basis. Again, in part-time, there is an internal and external category. If you are currently working in Pune University affiliated colleges, then you can take Part-Time (Internal) admission. If you are working in other government/private/semi-private organizations, you can take only Part-Time (External).

Steps to Apply for a Ph.D. Program in Management
First, see the newspapers. The Registrar of any university can call for a Ph.D. program at that point in time. Apply for the Ph.D. program by checking the available seats in the field of Management. After this, you need to write the entrance exam, which includes some questions on Research Methodology, Teaching Aptitude, and HR-related questions. Only if you merit in the entrance exam will you get a seat to do a Ph.D. under any guide. This is due to a lack of research guides in those universities and limited seats.
For any further information, you can email me. I am working as a research scholar.
