Hi,
I am working in software organization.
In our company, leave policies are defined in which
Saturday and Sunday as weekly offs in each week.
if employees taken leave without pay on Monday and they joined on next working day Tuesday then they considered 3 days
leave because Saturday and Sunday as prefix on Monday.
same way if employee taken leave without pay on Friday and employee joined on next working day Monday then also they considered 3 days leave.
but I have not got any rule regarding this because weekly offs considered only when employee taken leave on Friday and Monday in this case Saturday and Sunday are coming in between leave so that should be consider. but what about when taking only on Friday no holiday before Friday and only one Monday and no holiday next to Monday.
Please reply me, is it rule given is valid or not?
Thanks & Regards

Hi,
It mostly depend upon company policy. Each company has different different policies. Most of the software companies dont consider four days leave i.e. friday, saturday, sunday, monday. They consider 2 days leave (friday and monday) and they calculate attendance on an hour baisis i.e. 45 hours working in a week .

Hi Varsha, Agree with madhuri, generally in IT/ITES companies (including mine) calculates saturday and sunday as weekely offs and does not count as leaves also the working hours per day is 9 hrs.
