Dear all my friends,

Here is something which i fely absolute truth written by Swami Vivekananda.

15 Laws of Life

1. Love Is The Law Of Life: All love is expansion, all selfishness is contraction. Love is therefore the only law of life. He who loves lives, he who is selfish is dying. Therefore, love for love's sake, because it is law of life, just as you breathe to live.

2. It's Your Outlook That Matters: It is our own mental attitude, which makes the world what it is for us. Our thoughts make things beautiful, our thoughts make things ugly. The whole world is in our own minds. Learn to see things in the proper light.

3. Life is Beautiful: First, believe in this world - that there is meaning behind everything. Everything in the world is good, is holy and beautiful. If you see something evil, think that you do not understand it in the right light. Throw the burden on yourselves!

4. It's The Way You Feel: Feel like Christ and you will be a Christ; feel like Buddha and you will be a Buddha. It is feeling that is the life, the strength, the vitality, without which no amount of intellectual activity can reach God.

5. Set Yourself Free: The moment I have realised God sitting in the temple of every human body, the moment I stand in reverence before every human being and see God in him - that moment I am free from bondage, everything that binds vanishes, and I am free.

6. Don't Play The Blame Game: Condemn none: if you can stretch out a helping hand, do so. If you cannot, fold your hands, bless your brothers, and let them go their own way.

7. Help Others: If money helps a man to do good to others, it is of some value; but if not, it is simply a mass of evil, and the sooner it is got rid of, the better.

8. Uphold Your Ideals: Our duty is to encourage every one in his struggle to live up to his own highest idea, and strive at the same time to make the ideal as near as possible to the Truth.

9. Listen To Your Soul: You have to grow from the inside out. None can teach you, none can make you spiritual. There is no other teacher but your own soul.

10. Be Yourself: The greatest religion is to be true to your own nature. Have faith in yourselves!

11. Nothing Is Impossible: Never think there is anything impossible for the soul. It is the greatest heresy to think so. If there is sin, this is the only sin - to say that you are weak, or others are weak.

12. You Have The Power: All the powers in the universe are already ours. It is we who have put our hands before our eyes and cry that it is dark.

13. Learn Everyday: The goal of mankind is knowledge... now this knowledge is inherent in man. No knowledge comes from outside: it is all inside. What we say a man 'knows', should, in strict psychological language, be what he 'discovers' or 'unveils'; what man 'learns' is really what he discovers by taking the cover off his own soul, which is a mine of infinite knowledge.

14. Be Truthful: Everything can be sacrificed for truth, but truth cannot be sacrificed for anything.

15. Think Different: All differences in this world are of degree, and not of kind, because oneness is the secret of everything.

Thanks Anu.

This is another piece which made me sit, read and think deep... The alphabets of English.......

Quote:

Awaken the inherent divinity within yourself

Bear all and do nothing; hear all and say nothing; give all and take nothing; serve all and be nothing

Carry on your legitimate duties, discharge your obligation, but do not allow attachment to grow.

Do not crave for recognition and respect from others; crave only the grace from the Lord.

Ego lives by getting and forgetting. Love lives by giving and forgiving.

Follow the Master, Face the Devil, Fight to the End and Finish the Game

God, if you think, God you are. Dust if you think, dust you are. Think God, be God.

Help ever, hurt never.

Illness is caused by the malnutrition of the mind and not the body

Jnana is the direct road to liberation.

Knowledge without integrity is dangerous and dreadful, knowledge without character is a powerful evil; knowledge without action is useless; action without knowledge is foolishness.

Learn to give, not to take. Learn to serve, not to rule.

Mankind can find happiness only in unity, not in diversity.

Namasmarana is the easiest way to reach the Lord.

Old people think of the past, the young ones think of the future, and both of them forget the present.

Peace can only be found within, not outside.

Qualities which all must develop are Integrity, Equality, Unity and Fraternity.

Realisation is possible only through love, nothing else.

Start the day with love; spend the day with love, end the day with love; this is the way to God.

Think before speaking. Think before acting. Then go ahead, if you feel good about it.

Utter the name of God with every inhalation. Live in God, for Him, with Him.

Vedanta in essence is the unity of thought, word and deed

Wealth that you hoard is not yours; wealth that you have given is really

X-mas or Christmas must be celebrated by all mankind, as Jesus belongs to the whole human race.

Yesterday has deceived you and gone, tomorrow is a doubtful visitor. Today is a fast friend, hold fast to it.

Zero is what you should be; do not try to be a HERO!

Another story

THE RIPPLES .........a beautiful story ..!

My grandfather took me to for a walk one day when I was about seven, and stopped by a fishing pond.

‘Please sit down,’ he invited, patting the ground next to him.

‘Now, find a small stone, please,’ my Grandpa instructed.

‘What?’

‘A stone. Please find a small stone and throw it in the pond.’

Searching around me, I grabbed a pebble and threw it as far as I could.

‘Tell me what you see,’ he asked.

Straining my eyes to not miss a single detail, I looked at the water's surface.

‘I see ripples, Grandpa’.

‘Where did the ripples come from, son?’

‘From the pebble I threw in the pond.’

‘Please reach your hand into the water and stop the ripples,’ he asked.

Not understanding, I stuck my hand in the water as a ripple neared, only to cause more ripples. I was now completely baffled. Where was this going? Why was Grandpa asking me to do this I wondered!

Puzzled, I looked at him.

‘Were you able to stop the ripples with your hands, my child? ' he asked.

‘No, of course not.’ I was beginning to feel a little uncomfortable now.

‘Could you have stopped the ripples, then?’

‘No, in fact I only caused more ripples.’

‘What if you had stopped the pebble from entering the water to begin with?’ Grandpa smiled such a beautiful smile; I just could not be upset.

‘Next time you are unhappy with your life, catch the 'stone' before it hits the water. Do not spend time trying to undo what you have done. Rather, change what you are going to do before you do it.’ Grandpa looked at me with such love in his eyes!

‘But tell me, how will I know what I am going to do before I do it?’

‘Take the responsibility for living your own life my son’

‘See....your actions will create lots of splashes in your life, but remember……that the waves that come from those ‘splashes’ have a knock on effect on all your fellow creatures,’ he said.

‘Remember that you are responsible for what you put in your circle and that circle will also touch many other circles.’

‘You will need to live in a way that allows the good that comes from your circle to send the peace of that goodness to others.’

‘The splash that comes from anger or jealousy will send those feelings to other circles. You are responsible for both.’

Aaaah...I think I understood ! I realised that each person creates the inner peace or discord that flows out into the world.

We cannot create world peace if we ourselves are riddled with inner conflict, hatred, doubt or anger.

Whatever is splashing around inside of us is spilling out into the world, creating beauty or discord with all other circles of life.

We radiate the feelings and thoughts that we hold inside, whether we speak them or not.

So ultimately it is all up to us!!!

This reminded me of the eternal wisdom:

YOUR LIFE IS NOT A COINCIDENCE. IT IS MERELY A REFLECTION OF YOU!’
