I would like to know is there any time limit for withdrawal of PF from a company trust. One employee has resigned and given a full one months notice period and he says that since the PF is with company trust the withdrawing money can be paid immediately alongwith the full and final settlement. Also like to know since he has completed only 2yrs and 10 months of sevice here, is the PF withdrawal amount taxable?

Khan,
Advise him to transfer the PF rather than withdrawal. Since he has rendered less than 5 yrs service, the contribution of employer and the interest accrued on his contribution and employer contribution are taxable.

Dear Khan,
As we know that it is not benefited for the employee to withdraw his PF amount in short service of 2yrs and 10 months,he should go to transfer the PF amount. In case it is urgent, after giving resignation, it will take 2-3 month to process and PF withdrawal amount to received. Yes,the PF withdrawal amount taxable because of the interest accrued on contribution.

My problem is little strange. I have almost 6 Years old PF number of ex service. I worked in Nokia India pvt ltd till 2011. I tried to check my balance via EPF web portal but it shows error in with my PF Number. So probably Nokia was maintaining Private PF trust.
Now i want to withdraw my PF money, but issue is, I don't know how to process in cass of Private PF trust,
Here I also can't ask/check Nokia as the company has been acquired by Microsoft in 2012. Now they have different office/staff etc. I tried to trace process via mails but no reaonse from company.
Personally I have no connections in company now.
So what should I do now to get my PF.
Company is closed/acquired and
Had Private PF trust
Please suggest me resolution. I am not working currently.

Thanks Pon1965,
For your guidence, but sir I can't find out any process step over there. Also the article states that
"the facility will be available for employees' changing jobs from an exempted establishment (PF trusts) to un-exempted establishment (maintaining accounts with EPFO)"
But in my case I need to withdraw the PF ammount as I an not doing any job since last couple of years.
Please suggest me how or where should I proceed to get information about my employer PF trust when company has changed after merger with another organisation.
Please help me anyone on the forum know some reaolution about my issue.
PS- is there any private agency/agent who provides services in getting struck PF ammount in conpanies?
Thanks,
Nitin
