Dear Tapan,
As per my knowledge employee should work for 8 hours + 1 hour break which includes 30min for lunch and two time tea breakes each 15min.
But this is very much variable based on company policy.
Thanks

Dear Tapan,
Yes, office hours come under Factories Act, 1948. As per this act, total office working hours in a week is 48 hours and breaks(tea & lunch) extra.
If you want 5 working days, then 9 working hours per day. OR
If you want 6 working days, then 8 working hours per day.
Two Tea Breaks of 15 mins each & Lunch Break of 30 mins.
You can also refer this Act for leaves and benefits to be given to the employees.

Hi Tapan,
Time office is a vital part of the human resource department, and looks after the contract labours, workers, etc employed in any organization. They are the one who keeps a close eye on the workers, rather the non-executives working in an organization.
Of course, it works in accordance with the statutory laws or regulations.
Correct me, if i am wrong...

it is also a part of shops and establishment act of the state. so if your business falls under this act, do check what it says for work hours for your business. in acts it varies based on nature of business, category, type of employment etc...
