Dear Nag,
As per my knowledge wages and salaries are one and the same i.e., compensation or emoluments payable in currency; usually, but we have a slight difference. Wages are the payments made on hourly basis or on daily basis whereas salary is a compensation is given once in a month or calculated for 12 months and divided on monthly basis. Salary is paid regardless of hours worked whereas in wages hours of work is carefully taken into consideration.

meaning is same for both the terms. Normally wages is for hourly/daily basis whereas salary is for monthly/yearly basis. pon
