Can we issue the salary/wages(Contract employee) to employees friend or colleagues or relative with authorization letter given by the employees. And what says our labour law. Please help me on this concern.

Yes, you can very well pay the wages tothe colleague/relative of the worker provided a authority letter clearly mentioning the name of the person who has been authorised to collect wages is received. The authority letter must also contain specimen signature of the person who has been authorised to collect the payment.Further, if the collegue is from your own company, verify his signature from your records. It it is a friend or relative during payment obtain his signature again along with thumb impression, in your presence.
