I've offered a job in a company where HR department does not currently exists. They want me to build a proper HR department there.
I need your help and advise, kindly guide me how should i start?
What are the areas i should focus in start?
What sort of activity or work should i start there?
How could I start building / developing a department from scrath?

dear Saan,
you need to study organization culture.... Identify Core value, vision, mission accordingly you need to make policies.
1. Time & Attendance policy -Discipline, Leave application form
2. Leave Policy
3. Basic Policy for smooth operation work.. i.e. Account department, Sales Department, Operation Department etc.
Also need to more focus relate to training & development - Induction for New Joinee,
Make JD for Senior Manager - (HR/Account/IT/Sales/Operation)
Basic Job Profile of each departments
Another New Initiate: Birthday Celebration/
Holiday List
salary slip including CTC
lot many... first & for most... identify what Top Management what's. Why they want to introduce HR. Identify Specific reason. Full filled that requirement with line of HR - Human Touch !!!
