I need the details of Trade Union Act & Maharashtra Recognition of Trade Union & Prevention of unfair labour Practice 1971 & Industrial Dispute Act , Union related unfair practice.
As per the provisions of Trade Unions Act, any 7 persons coming together can form a union and register it. As far as M.R.TU. & PULP act, it provides for recognition of trade unions, procedure for application for recognition, rights of recognised and unrecognised unions and latter part deals with unfair labour practices on the part of employers and unions given in separate schedules where relief can be sought from Labour and Industrial Courts. As regards Industrial Disputes Act, it provides the machinery for investigation and settlement of industrial disputes. A latest amendment makes it mandatory for an employer to set up a grievance committee. No change covered in items stated in schedule four can be made without giving notice under section 9A. Also has provisions regarding settlements and awards and procedure thereof.
