Hi,
I am having 4 yrs experience in HR post MBA and recently shifted to a new organisation as a HR generalist.
I am expected to handle end to end HR activities for a seperate vertical independently with my superior who is a vertical head and not a HR fellow.
Since this is the first time I will be handling things independently, need some guidelines in terms of approach and the initiatives / interventions to be undertaken to make a mark right from the start

Is your position created newly or replacement?
If it is replacement, pls check all the details/reports ect what best you can do.
Prepare a checklist for each task, spend more time on uderstanding some thing you dont know , make sure the MIS updated daily wise, also maintain your own daily tracker.

Thanks for your suggestions.
Would like to tell you that this is a new position and Co has seperated one vertical by name Technical Resource Centre(TRC) from the main organisation.
TRC consist of all Engineers who provide technical assistace for design / R&D / Mechanics / Applications to the group cos across world sitting in India.
My role is to take care of end to end HR for these Engineers independently and I wil b reporting to Head of this vertical who is a technical person.
The expectation of employees as well as Boss are very high and I need to be very agressive.
I am not very clear abt what my action plans and approach should be, what all initiatives I should take, How will I ensure Employee satisfaction etc...
