One of my friend's has given a resignation today i.e. 13 April 2011 and the boss is asking her to serve a notice period of 30 days(a month) , meaning she has been asked to work until 12 May 2011.Her date of joining was 14 April 2010. Her doubts are :-
  1. What will be her resignation date?
  2. If she serves the notice period for a month then in such a case, is she entitled to receive a month's salary from her company ?
  3. In the reliving letter/ Experience letter what would be her last day of working :- resignation date(i.e. 13 April 2011) or last day of the notice period(i.e. 12 May 2011)?
  4. Her total experience with the company would be :-

14 April 2010 to 13 April 2011

OR

14 April 2010 to 12 May 2011 ?

1. Her resignation date will be 12th May 2011 after working hours.
2. Yes she is entitled to receive the salary but it may differ with the process of the organization, some org. stop the salary of the employee for the notice period and pay it after resigning with cheque or any other medium.
3. in reveling letter the last day she worked should be taken i.e. the motice period also means the 12th may after working hrs.
4. Total Exp will b calculated with the notice period she worked in the org.
