Dear all,

I have studied my degree in B.A. (specialization in Advertising and Sales Promotion) at Delhi University. After completing my graduation I did a post graduation diploma in Public Relations from Bhartiya Vidya Bhawan, New Delhi. Whilst studying for my diploma, I worked as a customer care executive with Tata Infomedia. Since then I have been doing administrative roles in various companies. At present I have a full time job in UK, England, here I am working as an administrator in a software company.

I am now planning to streamline my career in HR. I have always been setting sights to pursue my career in HR, unfortunately, I have not been able to further my learning in this field. After a careful research I have found some courses that can help me develop my career in HR.

1) MA in Industrial Relation and Personnel Mgmt, Warwick University. (Full Time)

http://warwick.ac.uk <link updated to site home> pm/

2) MA in Organization Studies, Warwick University. (Full Time)

3) Diploma in Human Resource Mgmt, Wolverhampton University (Part Time)

http://courses.wlv.ac.uk/postGradCou...id=2851&level= 1

Can anyone please guide me as to which one of the above courses would be the most appropriate course for me?

What is the difference between the first two courses?

Warwick university has seleted me for MA in Ind Rel & Per Mgmt course but I am not able to make up my mind as yet because I am not sure whether it is the right course for me or not.

Please help me in this regard.

Looking forward to your replies.

Kind Regards,

Shalini

Dear Shalini,
Greetings!
To my Knowledge PM & IR will adopt for Manufacturing industries bcoz the materials will contains all Labour Law & personnel Management.
Better u can go for Diploma in Human Resource Mgmt, Wolverhampton University (Part Time).
Difference between first and second course are
1. you wont get any HR exposure & Knowledge in second one.
2. Secoond course will give you exposure in these areas (Organisational Analysis, Sociology of Work and Employment and Organisational Psychology, Behaviour and Change ) but if u opt first one, you will get exposure above mentioned one and in addition to u will get exposure in Labor Law,T&D, OD.

Hi John,
Sorry for not getting back to you earlier!
I am very thankful to you as you are the only one who has replied to my query. I have decided that I will be doing Post Graduation Diploma in Human Resource Management. This subjects in this course sounds pretty interesting. Since it is a part-time course, I can also continue with my job. I hope all goes well.
Many thanks for your valuable advice.
