Grading & increment - what are the slabs of increment after compilation of the apas for the year?
Dear sir what are the slabs of increment after compilation of the apas for the year which other companies follow ? what are the advantages / disadvantages if a company follows: 1. release a uniform 9 increment to all employees; 2. a twotier grading and increment policy where 70 workforce is graded in agrade with 9 increment and 30 in bgrade with 7 increment; 3. a threetier grading and increment policy where 15 workforce is graded in agrade with 10 increment; 75 in bgrade with 9 increment; and 10 in cgrade with 8 increment. the ctc after the incremental increase on 2 & 3 above is 9.1 i.e. almost same. please enlighten.

Probation increment
I had completed b.e and working in a private concern as whitebox testing engineer with 11k per month. now i feel this salary is not rite for my qualification and for the work i do. my company usually gives 2k as probation increment. and i am unhappy with tat increment. how much can i ask for increment during probation meeting.
Increment clause is not mentioned in the appointment letter
Hi i am working in a company as a consultant for the last 3 years. my total contract period is 5 years. in the beginning the company has given me a individual consultant agreement. in the agreement they didn t mention about increment. now after three years when i am asking for the increment the hr people are saying that there is no such clause in the agreement hence they can t give the increment. now my question is shall i eligible for the increment. what sort of action i need to take if the company rejecting the increment. kindly advise.
What to do?
Hi members i am in a dilema. my boss is really a difficult person and his biggest problem is that he favors only those whom he has himself recurited. i am one of the few people whom he has not recurited and this is where my problem starts. i have been working in this company for last 11 months and there is no signs of increment though i have not asked for it myself. i feel that increment is not something that one has to ask for. now i want an increment else i am ready to resign. please let me know how can ask for an increment in a very diplomatic manner also i want to make my boss realise that he is being unfair as everyone recurited by him has got an increment. help me with this matter and also how to go about an increment in a diplomatic manner as i can stand favouritism and if i talk then it will turn into a heated argument which i dont want. please help prachi
