dear sir /madam
my questions is related to pf contributions if employees basic pay is

Basic pay - 34000
thana pf cotributios to the employee side is 12% = 4080
and employer contr is divided into two parts EPF 8.33%
And pf = 3.67%
total employer side contr = 12% thes two part of employer side contributions i can not understand pls told to me in detail employer contributions money where is deducted .
thanks
anjna

1.PF contribution made by employees
12% of basic, the entire amount goes to employees Pf ACCOUNT.
2. PF contribution made by employer
12% i.e 8.33% goes to Employee pension fund and renaming 3.67% goes to PF account.
so employee and employer contribute 12 % each..
hope you understand..
vikram

be noted that 8.3% towards EPS is subject to the ceiling of only Rs.540/-. For the employees whose basic+DA is more than 6500, the contribution made by the Employer directly goes to the employees PF account other than the mandatory Rs.540/- to EPS
Dear Anjna,
ESI is contribution is made for the employee sickness, accident, maternity etc.
Employer contribution =4.75% of Gross Salary
Employee contribution =1.75% of Gross Salary.
And the company/organization to be eligible for ESI,the strength of employees must be at least 20.
The ceiling is 15000/-,it means ,if any employee is drawing more than 15k then it is not mandatory for that particular employee to be part of ESI.
Hope you understood!!!!

vikram
