Dear All,
I came across few company names while conducting a google search stating that they are black listed. The surprising factor is that there is no evidence on how this company has been black listed.
Seniors, request you to guide me in identifying the black listed companies with proper evidences as this may serve as a useful list to freshers and other members in our forum, such that then can ignore those companies while attending interviews. Would like to know on what grounds a company gets black listed. Can a black listed company continue to run their business, if its yes then how?

HI,

What exactly are you looking for? A list of companies to avoid applying for?

Is this only about the companies in IT and ITES sector?

There is nothing called as a blacklisted company for employment. There are fake companies, fake training institutes, fake agencies.

The fake companies cheat you with offers of working on lucrative and fantastic live projects but ask you to keep some deposit money as they need to send you abroad.

The fake training institutes cheat you by giving false promises of 100% placement subject to terms and conditions or by claiming to be the exclusive training agency for a particular big company or a big client list.

Fake agencies cheat you by taking money in different forms for documentation, training and placement.

Here is what you can do about it.

1) These companies will have beautiful websites also. You will know the truth only when you physically visit and verify their status. You may also take an experienced senior with you to know what actually these companies are all about.

2) The other way is to check their client list and finding out if they are credible clients and you may also verify if the said company is really a service provider to the said client.

3) If you know the agencies that conduct basic verification for banks. telephone connections, then they would also be able to some help.

Getting a list of black listed companies on a forum or site is impractical. Any company can run business unless it has been seized and closed by the tax/customs/ court authorities.

Kind regards

Babu,
Have you gone through that list and page ?
It's an arbitrary list put up by someone. It has mostly got USA companies, which makes little difference to us. Further it has some reputed companies and I don't know who claims them blacklisted.
The discussion that follows also demonstrated that the list was put up by someone with an axe to grind.
If you do not out up proper information when making a comment on this site, you will end up misleading others

Banerjee, Raghu and John thanks for your inputs. I do have a doubt, do you mean to say that there are no black listed companies and if so then why is such term/word used, why no company takes action against those who mention the names of such reputed companies to be black listed. You mean to say all this stuff is hoax.
