hi all,
can you give me some inputs on what are the tests generally used in 1) selection of sales men? and 2) selection of managers
also the reasons why they are used ?
i heard from people that EQ test, 16 PF, stress interviews etc are used for sales people. but if someone could give me more info on what is used industry wide, it ll be really helpful.

Some of the tests being mentioned by you are actually used.... but to some extent only.... and mostly during the campus drive or fresher recruitment...
They function as filtering tools. Further the results of this tests try to show how a person might perform in particular job / industry.
In case of experienced executives, their past performance is the criteria of selection..
Stress Interviews are the most widely used interview techniques for the demanding jobs including Sales jobs...
