Hi all, I am running through a big question and looking for an effective solution. I'm working as an HR Recruiter with a placement consultancy for the last 7 months. The growth in a placement consultancy is very limited; that is why I am looking for an opportunity as an HR Executive/Assistant at any other organization where I can learn more than just recruitment. However, for that, I need to have an MBA degree. Now, I am faced with a big question: whether I should go for distance education or the regular one. If I opt for distance education, will it be advantageous? If I opt for a regular MBA, then I will have to leave my job, which I am not planning to do. Please suggest to me what I should do at this moment for better career growth.

Choosing Between Regular and Distance MBA
If you have the time and money, then opt for a regular course as it has more demand than a distance one.
Correspondence or distance MBA is not preferred by some branded companies. I am doing a correspondence MBA from IGNOU, but I have 7 years of experience working at various posts and companies.
If you are still a fresher/starter, you can complete your full-time MBA and then look for a job directly in good companies. You will always have 7 months of experience with you.
Remember, experience is never worthless; any type of job experience is always valuable.

The above friends speak absolutely right. Go for a regular MBA, preferably in good colleges. Since you have 7 months of experience in HR activities, you can wait to complete it as one year. There are various HR openings where they don't restrict to MBA candidates.
I would suggest you wait and move. You can contact me regarding this. All the best.

Thank you to all for the suggestions. I was going through the site of IISWBM, one of the renowned B-Schools in Kolkata, which is offering an MBA program through Evening Classes. Though it's charging a good amount of around 4.8 lakhs, that isn't a concern when the education loan system is available. I am considering it because I won't have to leave my job, and at the same time, I can pursue an MBA part-time. Do you think this will be helpful for me, or should I opt for Symbi Distance Education? Please suggest.
