Leave management - how we should do division in cl, pl, sl among 30 leaves & can we make differentiation in leave eligibility?
Hi all we are in a process of implementing the "employee band & grade structure" across the organization. we have 30 leaves in a calendar year jandec but in that no division for cl pl sl but now we want to make that changes & another thing we want to make changes that according to the band & grade of the employee their eligibility for cl pl sl will differ but total no. of leaves i.e 30 leaves remain same. so please guide me on how we should do division in cl pl sl among 30 leaves & can we make differentiation in leave eligibility for cl pl sl according to band & grade of the employees. hoping to hear from you soon.
Eligibility of days for calculating pl
Is it not necessary to give pl as per the factory act to employees who had put in less than 240 days in privious calender year. regards t
Eligibility for payment of gratuity
Hi i have completed 4 years 11 months & 23 days in a ltd company governed under payment of gratuity act 1972. is am eligible for gratuity ? or not ? i have gone through an article which says that eligibility for payment of gratuity is 5 years and also read some article which says that as per supreem court eligibility of 4 year 8 months service will be consider full year if some one has completed 4 year 8 months month or more than that. pl advice to me regarding my eligibility of payment of gratuity.
Leave eligibility for staff located at various states
Dear all as all of us are aware that leave eligibility for different states is different. for e.g. maharashtra shop and establishment act stipulates 21 el and no sl or pl. whereas delhi s&e act stipulates 15 el and 12 sl and pl. likewise different rules for chennai etc. however when its comes to implementation it becomes challenging to have different rules for different states. can you all please share if you are following single leave policy or go by the states and have different leave policy for each state. thanks regards gauri

Dear all please clarify regarding el / pl eligibility criteria in coal mines. # is it necessary to put up 240 working days every year or is it only applicable for 1st year to come under criteria. # for example if a candidate complies 240 days criteria in 1st year he is eligible for as per law but in subsequent years 240 days criteria is not complied by him so in such cases whether he is eligible for on prorata basis or not or he is not eligible for el/pl or any. requesting all my seniors and colleagues to throw light on all the details about
